Ralph K. Mohler, 99, formerly of Akron, died at Ephrata Community Hospital Wednesday after a brief illness. He lived at Landis
Homes in Lititz since 1980.
Mohler was a building contractor from 1956 to 1969 and a real estate salesman for the former Mosemann Real Estate of Akron. He previously owned the former Mohler's Grocery Store and Rooaming House in Ephrata from 1932 to 1956 and was the treasurer of Martin and Mohler Inc.
A member of Ephrata Mennonite Church, he enjoyed woodworking.
Born in Ephrata Township, he was the son of the late Monroe and Emma Kurtz Mohler.
He was married to Kathryn Ebersole Mohler of Landis Homes. He formerly was married to the late Martha Sauder Mohler.
Surviving besides his wife are two daughters: Naomi I. Martin of Lancaster and Ann L., married to Clayton R. Zimmerman of Ephrata; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and four brothers: Jacob of Loveland, Ohio; Harold of Lititz; and Clarence, and William, married to Betty Mohler, both of Phoenix.
He was preceded in death by a son, Earl; and three brothers, Galen, Mark, and Aaron.
