She was born August 14, 1935 in Charleston, SC, the daughter of the late Cornell Logan Scott and Ressie Wilson Berg.
Ann grew up in Charleston. When she married, she moved to James Island and later to Walterboro where she lived the last 18 years.
She retired from Charleston Commissioner's of Public Works.
Ann was a member of Fort Johnson Baptist Church and attended Welch Creek Baptist Church. She attended Rivers High School in Charleston and was active in the PTA of Charleston County.
Surviving are her children; William L. Braecklein Jr. (Elizabeth) of Cottageville; Susan B. Matson (Harry) of James Island; Jaynean B. Thomas (Mark) of Sanford, Fl; Tracy C. Braecklein (Linda), Amy B. Davis (Darron) and Melissa Ann B. Hall (Russell) all of Walterboro; a sister; Cornelia Adeline Braecklein of Summerville; a brother; John W. Berg of Santee; 18 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 1 great-great-granddaughter and 2 nieces.
She was preceded in death by her son Christopher E. Braecklein.
Funeral services will be held 3:PM, February 9, 2012, at South End Cemetery, Bamberg, SC.
