Born in Anson County, he was the son of William Paul and Sally Williams Paul. Worked for many years at West Knitting Mills and retired with Carolina Apparel Group Inc. as Chief Executive Officer. Member of First Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon. He loved his family and enjoyed collecting coins and yard work. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Matilda Gulledge Paul, a son, a daughter, four grandchildren and two brothers.
