Son of Levi & Eliza Jane (Brown) Bainbridge, natives of Virginia. Worth was 2 years old when his father first came to California in 1849. He returned east and crossed the plains 2 more times once about 1856 and the second time in 1859. This time, coming by ox-team he brought his family where they settled on Honcut Creek. Levi was granted a land patent for 160 acres in 1860, on which Worth resided for many years with his wife Mary Eugenia. He was a rancher & stock-raiser. They later resided at Bangor & Oregon City.
