ADAMS, Donald R. 76, of Springfield died February 1, 2012 in S.R.M.C. He was born November 14, 1935 in Springfield, OH to Raymond and Faye (Maxwell) Adams. Don retired as a supervisor after working a number of years for Parker Sweeper and Robertson Can Company. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, former coach of Little League and Babe Ruth Baseball, was an avid bowler and softball player for many years and was a member of the Union Club. Survivors include his partner of 14 years, Renie; three sons, Barry (Anna) Adams, Brian (Carrie) Adams and Randy (Nicole) Adams; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; a sister, Boots Kearcher; 3 brother, Jim and Jerry Adams and Dick Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife, Patricia, 2 brothers, Bill and Bob Adams. Friends may call in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the funeral home with Deacon Norm Horstman officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be in Rose Hill Burial Park. Memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association or Multiple Sclerosis Society.
