Anne Vuksta Onder peacefully left this world on October 12, 2011 to join her husband, Captain Angelo W. Onder, an Army Ranger who died at Normandy, France on June 10, 1944.
Anne, born in Illinois on October 6, 1918, lived the majority of her life in Erie, Pennsylvania. Of late, she was a resident of Light of Hearts Villa in Bedford, Ohio.
She was the daughter of the late Peter and Anna Vuksta. Anne was preceded in death by her brothers George Vuksta and Stephen Vuksta (Stevens) and a sister, Mary Louise Gavana. She is survived by nephews P. Jeffrey Vuksta, Alan Lee Vuksta, Mark Stevens and Bruce Stevens and their children and her niece and caregiver, Anne Jacqueline Cavana Condon (spouse, Frederick J. Condon), and their sons Frederick J., Jr., Eric A., Jeffrey R., David P., and Patrick J.
No visitation. Funeral services private. Anne will be buried next to her husband, Captain Onder, at Gettysburg National Cemetery, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. (St. John Funeral Home of Bedford)
