Mary Reid Dye
Mrs. Mary Jane Reid Dye, 92, of 1381 Arlington Drive, died Friday morning at St. Benedict's Hospital of causes incident to age.
Mrs. Dye was born May 6, 1875, in Mount Carmel, Utah, a daughter of John Whirk and Agnes Western Reid.
She had lived most of her life in Oasis and Delta, Utah, and had also resided in salt Lake City, coming to Ogden two years ago.
On Oct. 10, 1894, she was married to samuel S. Dye in Ogden. Mr. Dye died Sept. 20, 1928.
She was a member of the 50th LDS Ward. She was a former member of the Yalecrest Ward in Salt Lake City, and had been active in hte Relief Society.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. John H. (Rhoda) Andrews, Ogden, and Mrs. H. F. (Beatrice) Benson, Salt Lake City; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist and Sons Colonial Chapel with Bishop Robert H. DeBoer of the 50th Ward conducting.
The family will meet friends at the mortuary one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Ogden City Cemetery.
