Alma was a daughter of Ferdinand and Karoline (Metzing) Paulus. She was married to Wilhelm Zunker on 9 JAN 1907 in New Braunfels, Comal County, Texas. In about 1912 Alma contracted polio, or something similar. She was on crutches and later in a wheelchair. Alma made toys and clothes by machine and hand and lived with their only son Gordon H. Zunker until her death.
