Thomas W. Moon
Greer, Apr. 14 -- Thomas W. Moon, 72, well known citizen of the Highland community in upper Greenville county, where he had lived for 22 years, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W.M. Barton, tonight after an illness of five months.
Mr. Moon has many friends who will learn of his death with deep regret.
Surviving are his widow, who before marriage was Miss Mary Pittman; two sons, M.B. Moon of Taylors, R.F.D. No. 1, and J.L. Moon, of Greer; one daughter, Mrs. W.M. Barton, of Greer, R.F.D. No. 3, one sister Mrs. Martha Howard, of Landrum; 17 garndchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held from the Highland Baptist church Thursday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock.
Honorary pallbearers will be B.J. Stewart, R. L. Lindsey, C.G. Dill, J.L. Hawkins , J.L. Petty, M.T. Smith, J.N. Brown, Wallace Hempley, Dr. E.D. Douglas, R.M. Hughes, Dr. T.O. Walters, S.T. Waldrop, T.J. Mitchell, and I.T. Mitchell.
Active pallbearers will be G.B. Dill, B.L. Hill, W.M. Suddeth, Archie Arms, J.N. Lindsey and Alfred Morgan.
