Bennington (N.Y. )News from De Pere, Wis., gives an account of the death of M.P. Persons, formerly of Bennington. Mr. Persons married Lorette Case, daughter of Martin Case, Esq., of this place. Since then their home has been in De Pere, where Mr. Persons was a business man of influence, having been mayor of the city as well as holding other important offices, in addition to his ordinary avocation. For some time his health has been feeble and he and Mrs. Persons spent some time in California, hoping that a change of climate might prove beneficial. The relief experienced proved temporary and his final illness was a brief one.
