Deaths
WALTER W. CASOLARE, 75, OF 407 Wright Ave., Mattydale, died yesterday in St. Joseph's Hospital after a short illness.
Born in New York City, Mr. Casolare was a Syracuse resident 50 years. He retired as a machinist with Meltzer's Auto Supply Co., Inc., in 1956 after 10 years service. He was formerly employed by Crouse-Hinds Co. for 16 years.
Mr. Casolare was a charter member of Calvary Evangelical United Brethren Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary Seager Casolare; five sons, Benjamin P. of Canastota and Charles W., Edward W., Frank R. and Harold W. Casolare, all of Mattydale; four daughters, Mrs. Arnold E. Fay of Clay, Mrs. Charles Brutcher of North Syracuse, Mrs. Burr Palmer and Mrs. Ronald Carr of Mattydale; two sisters, Mrs. Christina Howe of North Syracuse and Mrs. Eva Haines of East Syracuse; 40 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Goddard & Crandall Funeral Home, 3111 James St., the Rev. Robert Overmier officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memory Gardens.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home.
