Ira L. Bub' Walters Ira L. "Bub" Walters, 57, died June 6, 2002, at his home, Hutchinson. He was born July 25, 1944, at Pueblo, Colo., the son of Ira Ross and Addie Mae Williams Walters. A resident of Hutchinson, he was an auto mechanic and owner of Ira Truck and Auto, South Hutchinson, for the last 30 years. He was an avid fisherman. On July 25, 1962, he married Janice Shorb at Hutchinson. She survives. Other survivors include: a son, David, Hutchinson; two daughters, Deborah Walters and Dawn Oden, both of Hutchinson; a brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Christy Walters, South Hutchinson; a sister-in-law, Jane Walters, South Hutchinson; six grandchildren, Jorden, Kayla, Amber, Mariah, Dalton and Brandon; and several nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by a son, Douglas; a stepfather, Johnny Cash Paulk; and two brothers, Vernon Sr. and Darrel. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Johnson & Sons Memorial Chapel, Hutchinson, with the Rev. Fred Obold presiding. Cremation will follow. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. today with family receiving friends from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be sent to Ira Walters Scholarship Fund, in care of the funeral home.
