DUNN, Mrs. Marcia (Tanner) born January 16, 1949 was called home by her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, February 1, 2012. She was a native Daytonian, proud graduate of Dunbar High School, where she was very active with her classmates and enjoyed a long professional career at WPAFB, retiring with more than 30 years of service. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a long time and faithful member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, where she faithfully attended until her health failed. She was preceded in death by her father, James Tanner. She leaves to cherish her memory a faithful and devoted husband of 27 years, Thomas Dunn, Sr., who was her primary caregiver during her years of illness; loving mother, Wanda Tanner; (1) brother, Jeffrey Tanner; (3) step children, Thomas, Jr. and Johnny Dunn, both of Dayton, OH; Angela Dunn- Lindsey, Atlanta, GA; (1) loving adopted son, Samuel "Stoney" Glenn; (4) precious grandchildren; very special sister & prayer partner, Delores Williams; special lifetime friend/sisters, Cheryl Smith of CA; Shirley Ward of TX; Judy Taylor of GA; Verdell Sims, Patricia Lovett-Berry and Hattie Few, all of Dayton, OH; and a host of other relatives and close loving friends whom Marcia cherished and cherished her. Funeral Services 12:00p.m., Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at The Tabernacle Baptist Church, 380 So. Broadway St., with Rev. Dr. Ernest E. Graves, officiating. Visitation 10:00 a.m., until time of service; the family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment, Woodland Cemetery. Services entrusted to Thomas Funeral Home, 4520 Salem Ave., Trotwood, Ohio. Condolences can be sent to the family via e-mail at [email protected].
