Age 93, of Seattle, WA passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 18, 2011. Jack was born on April 23, 1918 in St. Paul, MN to James and Monica Haigh McNamara. He is survived by Cathy, his 97 year old wife of 64 years; his children, Patty (Gregory Fulham), Sue (Robert Fairman), Mary Beth Morrison, and Bob (Nancy); his grandchildren, Scott (Amber), Casey, Julie (Ted), Riley, and Jack; and his great grandchildren, Isabelle and Bradley. Jack, a long time member of Our Lady of Fatima parish in Magnolia, will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his inexhaustible and selfless desire to help others in his church and surrounding community, his enjoyment of a well cooked meal and his great love of storytelling ("Get to the point, Jack"). Jack was also a U. S. Army veteran of World War II, reaching the rank of Warrant Officer and a recipient of the Bronze Star medal for meritorious achievement in the Pacific Theatre. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Sunset Villa Adult Family Home for the love and care they have shown my father throughout his final days. Recitation of the Rosary will be Thursday, December 29th, at 10:00 AM followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM, BOTH at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 3218 W. Barrett St., Seattle. Interment, Holyrood Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Ballard Food Bank, 5130 Leary Ave. N. W., Seattle, WA 98107.
