HUBBARD, CAPTAIN DANIEL S. - 50, veteran of the United States Army, of Knoxville, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord on February 3, 2011, at Park West Hospital surrounded by family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Ruth Strickland Quimby and Dr. Daniel W. Hubbard DVM, PHD in Nutrition and Public Health from Tulane University, New Orleans, LA, and his longtime best friend and companion Harley. Daniel was survived by his loving devoted wife Cheri Nieporte Hubbard and his five dedicated step-daughters Shauna Joffrion from Cleveland, TN, and Ashley, Charli, Stephanie, and Marki Nieporte of Knoxville, TN. Daniel also leaves behind six precious grandchildren, his step-father Hank Quimby, sister Susan R. Hubbard, and nephew Nickolas Hillard. Daniel will be missed dearly by "The Lakers," his lifelong friends from Bearden High School. A graveside service will be held Monday February 6 at 2 o'clock at Highland Memorial Cemetery on Kingston Pike in Knoxville, Tennessee.
