William Bill Everette Childs, Jr., 73 of 869 Hwy 74 Business, passed away June 3, 2009. He was the son of the late William Everette and Eva Mae Taylor Childs, Sr. He was a retired welder. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jewell Faye Sherrod Childs. He is survived by is wife Wannell Hoppes Childs of the home; two daughters, Lynne Childs Woolluns of Princeton, NC and Deborah Childs Bradley of Morganton; two sons, Billy Wayne Childs of Ellenboro and Steve Childs of Virginia Beach; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, five step children and twelve step-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 6, at 2:00 PM at A.C. McKinney Memorial Chapel with Rev. Brian Melton officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery in Marion. Visitation will be held Friday, 7-9 at the funeral home. Memorials may be sent to Hospice House of Rutherford County, PO Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
