"Martindale- William Martindale came to South Carolina from Pennsylvania about 1770. He married (1) Martha ….. and had children: John, James, William, Joseph, Thomas, and three daughters (two of the daughters married Youngs and one married Norman).
His second wife was Elizabeth …. And had children: David, Martin, Miles.
Martin married Elizabeth Pearson, daughter of John and Barbara (Cain) Pearson, of Newberry District.
They were Quakers and all moved to Ohio."
