Funeral services will be Saturday, August 14, at McCurdy Funeral Home, 121 South 7th Street, Council Bluffs, at 10 a.m. Graveside services will be at Memory Cemetery at New Market at 2 p.m. Burial is in Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday

Snively was born on July 23,1918 to Lorenzo and Florence Maxwell Snively in Clearmont, Mo. He graduated from New Market High School in 1935 and grew up in Braddyville.
He was married to Garnette Hipsley and they had one daughter.
Snively was a member of Twin Cities Christian Church and Council Bluffs Senior Center.
Survivors include his wife, Garnette Snively, a daughter Evalyn Crowdy of Council Bluffs, three brothers Oral Snively, Portland, Or; Howard Snively, Warsaw, In; Harold Snively, Florence, Az; two sisters, Mae Anderson and Esther Hamilton, both of Clarinda; two grandsons and one great-grandson.
