Rachel Barhydt's name and dates are inscribed on this tall monument to Col. J. Andrew Barhydt (1814-1905)in Vale Cemetery -- presumably because Rachel was the matriarch of the family (and probably Rachel's grandson, although I have been unable to verify that).
