ATLANTA--The funeral of Harold M. Vannoy, 86, of rural Atlanta, a retired farmer, will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Quiram Funeral Home, Atlanta, John McVey officiating.
Burial will be in Zion Cemetery, Lincoln, where military rites will be accorded by the Atlanta American Legion Gresham-Crutchley Post 341. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

He died at 1:55 p.m. Wednesday (Jan. 17, 1990) at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital, Lincoln.

He was born Sept. 30, 1903, in Eminence Township, a son of Abraham and Ella Upton Vannoy. He married Budella Bradway April 25 1948, in Hartsburg. She died April 24, 1979.

Survivors included on daughter, Tina Gilmer, state of Florida; four sons, Jerry Adams, Atlanta, Robert Bland, Lincoln, Abraham Vannoy, Lincoln; and Larry Vannoy, Atlanta; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Lois Jones and Gladys Bruner both of Atlanta.

One son; two sisters and tree brothers preceded him in death.

Mr. Vannoy farmed in Eminence Township all of his adult live. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Atlanta Christian Church.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
