Barbara June Letner Thomas
Barbara June Letner Thomas, 73, of Ten Mile, went home to be with her Lord on Friday morning, Feb. 3, 2012, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville.
A native and lifelong resident of Meigs County, she was a daughter of the late James and Dixie Sissoms Letner, and was preceded in death by one daughter, Brenda Kay Thomas.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Bill H. Thomas Sr. of Ten Mile; one daughter, Betsy Thomas and her special friend, Doug Kizziah, of Ten Mile; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Bill Jr. and Donna Thomas of Gallipolis, Ohio, and Bob H. Thomas and his fiancée, Tina Letner, both of Ten Mile; five grandchildren, Billy Joe Thomas, Tamara Rykowski, Kelli Finney, Brian Thomas and Barbara Haley Thomas; six great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Halle, Nathan, Evan, Lilyanna and Natalya; three sisters, Catherine Renfro of Cincinnati, Ohio, her twin sister Betty Thomas of Ten Mile, and Ruth Roberts of Ten Mile; and three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Earl and Nellie Letner of Ten Mile, Bobby Letner of Kentucky, and Doyle and Charlotte Letner of Ten Mile.
Graveside services were 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Roberts Cemetery with Brother Lawrence Waller officiating.
Family served as pallbearers.
Ziegler Funeral Home of Athens was in charge of arrangements.
