Jerry Vernon Stewart, 70, of Odessa, Texas passed away, January 31, 2012. Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Friday, February 3, 2012, at Westminster Presbyterian Church.

Jerry was a longtime member of the Odessa Jaycees serving in many positions. He received the honor of Jaycees International (JCI) Senator and lifetime membership in January 1980. He served as chairman of Odessa Convention Bureau and joined the Odessa Chuck Wagon Gang in 1977. He was the 1977 Rookie of the year in the Chuck Wagon Gang and served on the board of directors. He was instrumental in organizing the Odessa Special Olympics and was on the MHMR board one year. He was on the executive board of the American Legion at one time and a longtime member of the Eagles Lodge. Jerry was a proud Navy veteran.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Verna Mae Krause Cook.
