Andrew Kincaid married Elizabeth Caldwell. Children: William Isles, James, Mary J., Andrew Ephraim, Amanda, Martha Emma, Sarah Anna, Abraham Lincoln, and Whitney. Please note that Whitney died on the same day he was born, and he is listed in Menard County Illinois Cemeteries, Vol. 3, but he is listed without a birth/death date. Obit: Died, at his residence in this city, today, of pneumonia, Mr. Andrew Kincaid, aged 79 years, 8 months, and 3 days. "Uncle Andy," as he was universally known, was born in Bath County, KY., and moved to this state in 1836 and has lived in this county ever since. He lived for forty nine years on one farm, and until he sold it a little over three years ago, the land had never changed hands, being the only piece of land in the county which had been held by one man for such a length of time. He leaves a wife, eight children, twenty five grand children and one great grandchild. He had been in very poor health for some time past, but no anxiety was felt until several days ago, when he took a turn for the worse. Among the children left to mourn him are Jas. Kincaid, of Leroy; W. I. Kincaid, of Mason City, and A. E. Kincaid, of Arkansas. The rest of the children reside in and around this city. The funeral will be held at 10- a.m., Sunday, March 2, from the C. P. Church in this city of which he has been an active and faithful member for twenty years past, Rev. R. D. Miller of Petersburg, ILL., officiating, after which the remains will be laid to rest in Indian Point Cemetery.
