Roger Dennis Armstrong, 63, of Memphis, Missouri passed away Friday morning,January 27, 2012 at his home in Memphis.
The son of John Kenneth and Pearl Louise Hawkinson Armstrong, he was born April 8, 1948 in Keokuk, Iowa.
Roger and his wife Noralyn resided in Scotland County most of their lives. Roger was associated with the Scotland Co. R1 School system for over 20 years, driving a school bus route daily and taking many activity trips. For the past few years Roger had made wooden ornaments for all his bus kids for Christmas.
Roger was a simple man and enjoyed wood working, gardening, and being with his family. He especially enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren grow up and was involved with their interests and activities. He enjoyed the many special hours he spent with his faithful dog Sadie
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
He is survived by his wife Noralyn of Memphis; his daughter, Tacey and husband Dusty Monroe, and his son, Kenny Armstrong all of Arbela, MO; four grandsons, Brandon and Brett Monroe and Kolby and Masden Armstrong; two brothers, Ralph Armstrong and wife Carol of St. James, MO and Randy Armstrong and special friend Kristy Mauzy, of Rutledge, MO; along with aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Pallbearers were Ron Keller, Tom Fender, Jeri McDonald, Robert Kraus, Lyle Kelley, Rueben Alfaro, Charles Downing and Carl Trueblood. Honorary pallbearers were his grandsons and fellow bus drivers.
