Sean Keith Maxwell, 17, of Michael Road, died Saturday, June 28, 2003, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Lakeland, Fla., from injuries received in an automobile accident.
The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel, by the Rev. Larry Michael. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park.
He was born Jan. 22, 1986, in Denver, Colo., to Scott Keith Maxwell and Patricia Ann Ashburn Maxwell. He was a rising senior at North Davidson High School, where he was a member of the ROTC and cross country and track team. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by a sister, Brittany Gooch.
Surviving are his mother and dad, Patricia Ashburn Gooch and Gary Lee Gooch of Lexington; his father, Scott Keith Maxwell of Denver, Colo.; a sister, Carrie Maxwell of Lexington; and his grandparents, Gloria Louise Ashburn of Woodbridge, Va., and Jack Maxwell of Sun City, Ariz.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the home.
