James Crawford after an illness of eight days, died in peace at his residence in Wyanet. He was the station agent at the Burlington - Chicago Rock Island & Pacific Crossing at Wyanet for the past eleven years.
A man much respected by all the hands on the railroad and was an official member of the M. E. Church. The funeral was held at the church in Wyanet, the Rev. J. F. Yates officiating. His remains were deposited in the Forest Hill cemetary, Sunday afternoon.
He left a loving wife, Clarissa and three sons, David, Henry and Robert to mourn his loss.
