Visitation will be held prior to the service at Tapp Funeral Home from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
The family is asking that everyone meet at Tapp Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. If it is raining, the service will be held there; if not, the motorcade will drive to the cemetery.
Mrs. Stephenson passed away Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012, at her residence.
Edna Leona Maxfield was born on Nov. 13, 1912, in Sherley, the daughter of William Newt and Sarah Elizabeth Hamrick Maxfield.
She married Raymond W. Stephenson in Layton, Okla., on October 7, 1935. He preceded her in death in October of 1985.
Mrs. Stephenson was an avid angler and bridge player and Texas Rangers supporter. She was a member of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include one daughter, Carol Stephenson and husband, Tom Englander, of Farmers Branch; and one sister, Coela Hoines, of Arlington.
She was preceded in death by her parents and five sisters, Werdna Bennett, Eunice Smith, Pearl Phillips, Auline Hughes and Gladys Bowman.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sherley Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 493, Sulphur Springs, TX 75483.
