William Kincaid was a son of Revolutionary War soldier James Kincaid Sr. and Jane Reed Kincaid. He first married Elizabeth Gardener Mayberry and according to census records and death and marriage records, they had the following children: William Jr., James Winslow, Eveline, Isobel, Carolina, Nancy, and Betty. After Elizabeth's death, William Kincaid married Elizabeth Little Davis. They had no children.
