James J. Hill
James J. Hill, 58, of Caldwell, co-owner of Hill's General Store in Caldwell, died at 3:20 p.m. Tuesday in Good Samaritan Medical Center following a long illness.
He was born Nov. 30, 1914, in Caldwell, a son of William and Philomena Ruppel Hill.
Surviving are his widow, Dorothy Hartley Hill; a son, James H. of Columbus; two daughters, Mrs. Sally Robinson of Marietta and Mrs. Joy [Joey] Paugh of Tucson, Ariz.; five grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Margaret Lyons of Warner Robbins, Ga.
Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at McVay Funeral Home in Caldwell where services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday with Rev. Fr. Lawrence Luciana in charge. Burial will be in Olive Cemetery at Caldwell.
