Nathaniel Adams was born abt. 1630 probably in England. He is the son of Nathaniel Adams (d. 1675) and his wife Sarah (d. 1685) . His parents arrived in New England about 1642. His father "... a dishturner, was first at Weymouth, Mass., where he had a grant of and in 1642 and became a freeman in 1647." [TAG 30:66] ). He married 24 November 1652 Mary Pormort (marriage record says Elizabeth, but her sister Elizabeth Pormort marries Samuel Norden, and the birth records for Nathaniel Adams’s children have his wife as Elizabeth).

Nathaniel Adams died 29 March 1689/90 in Boston. His will is dated 22 March 1689/90 and proved 8 May 1690. His will states: “… unto my Deare and welbeloved Wife Mary Adams for and during the term of her natural life for her comfortable Subsistence, and to be disposed of by her, amongst my Children namely, Joseph Adams, Isaac Adams, Mary Hipditch widow, Sarah Honynoll wife of Richd Honywoll and Elizabeth Chaffin wife of Ebenezer Chappin; according to my said wife’s Prudence & discretion, ..”
