Her parents were Peter Bower and Elizabeth Maesinger, who were from Germany but lived and raised their children in Mount Carroll Township, Carroll County, Illinois. I'm not certain when they died or where they are buried. Mary (Bowers) Bishop's brother, John Bowers, was my uncle and he is buried in Lanark Cemetery, Lanark, Carroll County, Illinois. His Findagrave number is: 11342038.
