"Dan Edington, of Coleman, Texas passed away Sunday, February 10, 2008 at his residence in Coleman.

"Services will be Tuesday at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church with Rev. John Stanislaw and Don Allen officiating. Interment will follow at the Coleman City Cemetery under the direction of Henderson Funeral Home of Coleman.

"The family will receive friends Monday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Henderson Funeral Home.

"He was born Jimmy Dan Edington on June 1, 1953 in Coleman, Texas to Bobbie Jean Hail Edington and the late Glen Duwayne Edington. Dan was a lifetime resident of Coleman and graduated from Coleman High School in 1971. He then continued his education at Tarleton State University and was a member of the Baptist Church. Dan was Assistant Manager for Coleman Livestock Auction and a stock farmer.

"Survivors - 2 Sons – Jim Bob and wife Elizabeth Edington of Coleman, Texas; Hayes Edington of West Point, New York; Mother - Bobbie Jean Edington of Coleman, Texas; Brother – Bob and wife Sylvia Edington of Coleman, Texas; 2 Grandchildren – Jeffery and Sadie Edington of Coleman, Texas; Niece Macy and husband Jake Knight of Midland, Texas; Nephew – Glen Edington of Coleman, Texas.
