Arthur Douglas David, son of Frank and Catherine David was born on February 12, 1940 in Greensboro, PA as one of 10 children, died on February 1, 2012 at Shepherd of the Valley.

On November 4, 1961 Arthur David married Betty Sue West. Arthur and Sue celebrated their 50th Anniversary in 2011.

Arthur served in the Army and was stationed in Germany from 1958 until honorably discharged in 1961. Upon discharge, he worked in the uranium mines and went to school at the University of Wyoming and earned a Bachelors Degree in Education. Arthur worked as a Vocational Education Teacher for 23 years and taught at CY Junior High.

His hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping and computer programming. He spent many hours loving his pets. He enjoyed travel and camping with his family.

Arthur David is survived by his wife, Betty Sue David, and children DawnDa Roney, Sallie Burnett and grandchildren: Mindy Roney, Micheal Roney and Brittany Burnett. He is also survived by his siblings Roger David, Mary Simonson, and Lois Sylvia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Catherine David, and brothers, Walter (Shorty), Richard, Robert, Wilber (Tinker), Melvin and Kenneth.

Memorial services will be held at Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery.
