A member of Webster Park Baptist Church, Springfield, he is survived by his wife Debra, a daughter Briana Marie Barton, his parents Burl and Delores Hatfield Barton.
Kevin, known on air on KXUS as Kevin Allen - apparently was alone when the one car accident occurred early Sunday.
Barton had worked in radio for several years and had been program director at KXUS since December 1989.
