David Setzer, age 66 years, died at 9:30 last evening in his home following an illness of two months. He had resided in this locality for the last forty-eight years. He was born in Germany May 22, 1863, and came to America and directly to this community in June, 1881. He married Anna Heeren Jan. 1, 1891. He was a member of the Mystic Workers lodge in Port Byron. Mr. Setzer is survived by his widow, a niece, Mrs. Willman Sallows of Port Byron and a nephew Henry Setzer of East Moline. Funeral services will be at 2 Thursday afternoon with the Rev. J. T. Kerr officiating. Burial will be in Zuma cemetery.
