Myrtle E. Ayers – Nashville
Nashville – Myrtle E. Ayers, 88 Nashville, Route 2, died at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Henderson Nursing Home in Morgantown. A member of Harmony Baptist Church in New Bellsville, she had been ill three months.
Funeral service will be conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Kritzer at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bond Funeral Home, where persons may call after 2 p.m. Friday. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Brown County.
Mrs. Ayers was born in Brown County July 29, 1890, the daughter of James and Anna Roberts Skinner. She was married to Arnold Ayers who died Nov. 21, 1961.
Survivors include a son, Oscar Ayers of Nashville Route 2, a brother, Dewey Skinner of Fortville, 16 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Donald and Burnell Ayers, and a daughter, Anna Pruitt.
