Evelyn Willey, age 87, of Livermore died on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Livermore, with Rev. Michael Botsford officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Livermore. Visitation will be 9 – 11 am Saturday at the church.

Evelyn Joyce Quick was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa on August 16, 1924 to parents Gilbert and Parenthia (Lutz) Quick. She graduated from Fort Dodge High School in 1942. Evelyn was united in marriage to Harold Willey on August 28, 1943 in Colorado. Evelyn had worked at the Mercy Hospital in Fort Dodge and as an office secretary at Globe Union in Fort Dodge, retiring in 1972. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for 37 years, the Honeybee Quilters, the Sweet Adeline's Chorus Group and a member of the Ladies Aid for Immanuel Lutheran Church in Livermore. She loved to play golf, bingo, and visit the casinos, quilting and crocheting.

Evelyn is survived by her husband of 68 years Harold, her sons; Doug (Carol) of Katy TX, John (Darlene) Willey of Ocean Springs, MS and Richard (Teresa) Willey of Wesley; 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; a brother Elmer Quick of Horse Shoe Bend, AR; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son Paul; a daughter Joyce; a sister Marie; and a brother Bud.
