My Father, Leo Herron, was born in small town Clay, KY and had a wonderful childhood growing up with 6 doting Aunts who lived a short distance in Dixon KY. The "Little Rascals" could have been inspired by he and his 18 month younger brother with all of the antics they wrought.

Stories abound at the things they came up with for entertainment. He talked his younger brother, Carrol, into jumping off a two story building to see if an umbrella would help him fly. "Damn near killed him", he'd laugh, but gratefully Carrol wasn't hurt. As I was growing up, he had loads of stories about his life around Clay and Dixon.

During WWII, he went to Germany, Garmisch, became part of the management of the Casa Carioka. The Casa was a night club, of sorts, for the Army. It had an ice rink in the center and had ice shows for entertainment. When the show was over, the dance floor would roll out over the ice.

There he met Lydia Kasmann from Nurnberg, who was a skater and after the war, they were married and came back to America.

Great Dad to Trudy and Erick, grandfather to Chelsey and Annsley and husband for 53 yaers to Lydia. Miss his jokes and horsing around.
