G. F. Adams; active in astronomy
George F. Adams, 69, of 434 W. Ostrander Ave., died yesterday in Community-General Hospital. He was retired from Solvay Process Division of Allied Chemical Corp.
Mr. Adams was a Syracuse native. He was long active in the Astronomers' Society. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church.
Mr. Adams is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mildred Burrows Adams; a daughter, Mrs. Lawrence Harris of Bowie, Md.; a brother, William H. Adams, four grandsons.
Services will be at 11:309 a.m. Saturday at the John G. Butler Funeral Home, and noon in Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Burial will be in Onondaga Valley Cemetery.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
