MRS. PAXTON IS CALLED BY DEATH FOLLOWING ILLNESS

Prominent Paducah Woman Dies In Her Home Here; Many Years An Invalid.

Mrs. Frederlca Fisher Paxton, 73 years old, widow of William F. Paxton, and a life-long resident of Paducah, died at 8 o'clock Sunday night in her home, 1039 Jefferson street. She had been an invalid for many years.

Twenty-seven years ago Mrs. Paxton suffered a paralytic stroke from which she never recovered. Her health declined through the years of invalidism, and her condition became critical in the last few weeks. The end was not un expected. Her children were all at her bedside.

Mrs. Paxton'was born in Paducah December 25, 1854, the daughter of the late John Fisher, prominent citizen and former mayor of Paducah. She was married here fifty-four years ago to William F. Paxton, banker, whose death occurred in July, 1920.

Surviving are five children and a number of grandchildren. Her sons are Edwin J. Paxton, W. P. Paxton, and J. A. Paxton, and her daughters, Mrs. Elliott C. Mitchell and Mrs. Peter Puryear, all of Paducah. The death of another daughter, Miss Sadie Paxton, occurred a few years ago.

She leaves the following grandchildren: Edwin, Louise, and Francis Paxton; William Paxton, Thomas Paxton, Mrs. James R. Smith, Frederlca Puryear, Nell Puryear, and Henry Puryear, Joe Mitchell, Elliott C. Mitchell, Jr., William Mitchell, and May Puryear.

Funeral services will be held at 9 o'clock Tuesday morning from St. Francis de Sales Catholic church, with Father John D. Fallon, officiating.

Burial will be in Oak Grove cemetery. The pallbearers will be Active: . W. C. Clark, William Munsell, Will Fisher,Frank Fisher, A. R. Grouse, Joseph L. Roth, Louis List, and the Rev. J. Mack Jenkins.

Honorary: L. S. DuBois, W. B Kennedy, Sr., F. W. Katterjohn, F. E. Lack, Richard Rudy, J. D. Mocquot, George Flournoy, John T. Donovan, C. C, Rose,-Captain Ed Farley and E. C. Wolfe.
