Funeral services for Mrs. Edwina Mae Thompson, 90, will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, July 20, 2014 from the chapel of Capps Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Tylertown Cemetery.
Mrs. Thompson passed away at the Walthall County General Hospital on Thursday, July 17, 2014. She was born September 19, 1923 in Walthall County, Mississippi to the late Edwin and Rettie Mae Brumfield Davis. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Henry Grady Thompson; and brothers Frank Willis Davis and Lloyd Lynn Davis.
She was a retired bookkeeper for the Walthall County Livestock Producer's Sale Barn. She was a member of New Zion Baptist Church and loved flowers and her family.
Mrs. Thompson is survived by one son Eddie Thompson and wife Rose of Natchez; daughter Jan Vince and husband Kim of Sandy Hook; sisters-in-law Lee Davis and Mary Davis both of Tylertown; grandchildren Shannon Goodwin and husband Thomas, Drew Thompson and wife Summer, Kristin Singletary and husband Chris, and Bo Vince; great-grandchildren Noah, Rose, Frannie, Owen, Collin; Averie, and Stratton.
Visitation will be at Capps Funeral Home on Saturday, July 19, 2014 from 5 till 8 P.M. and on Sunday from 12 Noon until service time there at 2 P.M.
