Jill was born October 21, 1937 to Ruth Willis Petterborg and Denzil Petterborg in Preston, Idaho. The family moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, where she attended Salt Lake City District schools and graduated from East High School in 1955.

Jill loved to cultivate beauty in her surroundings. From the magnificent landscapes and gardens that she carefully created to the tasteful decor of her home, those who knew Jill often remarked on her undeniable eye and appreciation for beauty. In addition, Jill's personal elegance and style served as a great example for her daughters and granddaughters. She will be missed.
Jill is survived by her loving husband, Art; two daughters, Staci Allen and Catherine (Mike) Workman; three granddaughters, Jennifer Randall, Melissa (Bryan) Parish, and Stephanie Randall; and a great-grandson (Caleb Parish) whose arrival in June is greatly anticipated. Jill is also survived by three step-children, Brent, Vickie, and Kim, and their six children and nine grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her mother, father, and a baby daughter, Julie.
