Cheryl Kay Hale, 52, of Knoxville, Ark., passed away on Aug. 14, 2000, at her home. She was born on Nov. 20, 1947, in Aurora, the daughter of Howard and Doris Milligan.
On Oct. 17, 1969, she married Ronald Hale and together they had one daughter, Laurel. They made their home in North Aurora until their retirement in 1996, when they moved to Arkansas. Cheryl retired from Western Electric (Lucent Technologies) in Montgomery, Ill. with 30 years of service.
Survivors are her husband, Ronald Hale of Knoxville, Ark.; daughter Laurel and her fiancee, Chuck Lang of Aurora; parents Howard and Doris Milligan of Aurora; two sisters, Patricia Arnett of Aurora and Margaret (Mike) Foley of Portland, Texas; nieces, Stacy Miller and Megan Arnett of Aurora, Michelle Foley and nephew, Adam Foley of Portland; father and mother-in-law, Clyde and Betty Hale of Morrilton, Ark; two sisters-in-law, Pat (Jim) Edwards and Donna Hale of Hattieville, Ark; also many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends who will miss her dearly.
Funeral services will be on held on Wed., Aug. 16 at the Harris Funeral Home, 301 N. Moose, Morrilton, Ark. (501) 354-4575. Burial will also be in Morrilton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice Social Services, Johnson County Health Unit, #6 Professional Park Drive, Clarksville, Ark. 72830.
A memorial service will be held in Aurora at a later date.
