Final rites will be held Monday for Sam Amato, Sr, 84, of California, who died Yesterday.
Mr Amato, a resident of California for the past 43 years, was a retired miner and a member of St Thomas R.C. Church in California and UMWA Local 2389.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs Angelina Paltepinta (sic?), Mrs Edith Amato, Newell; Mrs Mildred Metz, West Brownsville; three sons, Joseph and Sam, Jr of California; and James, Denbo; 15 greandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
Requien High Mass will be held Monday at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Mt Calvary Cemetery.
