Mrs. Josephine Jenny DeMarb, 87, 441 Bellevue St., was killed in an auto accident near Coleman last night. She was born in Mishicot and was the former Josephine Jenny Vertz. In 1895 she married Henry DeMarb in Sturgeon Bay. The couple lived in Egg Harbor on a farm until 1928.
The couple then moved to Sheboygan and resided there until two years ago when Mrs. DeMarb came to Green Bay to make her home with her daughters. Mr. DeMarb died in 1961; the couple had celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in 1960.
Survivors include five sons, Joseph, Green Bay; Fred, Sheboygan; Wilbert, Rockford, Ill.; Raymond, Fond du Lac; Earl, Cedarburg; five daughters, Mrs. Walter (Elizabeth) Stroschein, Sheboygan; Mrs. Henry (Jenny) Raymond, Green Bay; Mrs. Clarence (Laura) Vanedistine, Peshtigo; Mrs. Lawrence (Lillie) Clark, Marinette; Mrs. Otto (Blanche) Klein, Manitowoc; one sister, Mrs. Margaret Speigel, Sturgeon Bay; three brothers, William, Joseph and Larry Vertz, all of Sturgeon Bay; 34 grandchildren; 100 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren.
At Findeisen-Greiser Funeral Home after 1 p.m. Friday. Rosary 8 p.m. Friday, Msgr. Theodore Verbeten. Funeral 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Philip Church with burial in Fort Howard Cemetery.
