Word has been received locally of the death of former New Point resident Albert Nichols, 98, who died recently in Sioux City, Iowa.
He was the son of George and Mary Nichols and was the eldest of 10 children.Mr. Nicholas was born in Rensselaer and lived in the New Point community for many years.He was the uncle of the late Paul Huber of Greensburg and Millicent Huber of New Point.Mr. Nichols was married to Charlotte Huber, September, 1906, and the couple had one son, Loren. Both preceded Mr. Nichols in death.He later married Edna Matthews, who survives, along with five step-children, two sisters, and one brother.The family left the New Point area and moved to South Dakota, then later to Minneapolis.
