OBITUARY-Red Bank Register, Mon., Feb. 25, 1974, pg. 4 -- Walter Johnson, Ex-Councilman - RUMSON -- Walter L. Johnson, 67, of 16 Holly St., a former Sea Bright councilman, died Saturday in Riverview Hospital, Red Bank, Saturday. Mr. Johnson was the former vice president and manager of the Peninsula House Beach Club, Sea Bright, where he was employed 47 years. He retired last year. He was a member of the Sea Bright Borough council from 1953 to 1965 and was a former member and vice president of the Sea Bright Board of Education from 1952 to 1964. He was also a former member of the Fire Department. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Nancy Kyle Johnson; two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Peck of Red Bank, and Mrs. Audrey Carney of Wayne, Pa.; a brother, William Johnson of Nutley; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Olsen of Englishtown, and Mrs. Ruth Anderson of St. Petersburg, Fla., and three grandchildren. The Flock Funeral Home, Long Branch, is in charge of arrangements.
