August Emil "Gust" (Jonsson) Johnson, son of John Peter and Eva (Johansdotter) Magnusson, was born July, 1864, at Ekeberg U Torsebo In Tveta Parish, Sweden.

He married Anna Kristina Johansdotter, daughter of Johan Peter and Lovisa Josefina (Ottosdotter) Petersson, March 26, 1887 in Sweden.

He left the Parish in Sweden October 1, 1889, arriving in America shortly thereafter.

Notes on Emigration:
Destination: New York Upon Emigration he changed his spelling of surname to Johnson. When leaving their parish they had to go through the local police and report they were leaving and why - it was then documented.

3. Millie Josephine (Johnson) Kinkaid (1892-1980)
4. Lulu Mabel (Johnson) Tilton (1895-1984)

His wife Anna, died of cancer November 4, 1918, at Sioux City, Woodbury County, Iowa.

August married second, Daisy Cook, daughter of Albert and Alice (Unknown) Cook before 1922.
