ORWELL - George Harold Watrous, 53, died Jan. 26, 2012, at Rutland Regional Medical Center.

Friends may call at the Miller & Ketcham Funeral Home in Brandon on Friday, Feb. 3, from 1 to 4 p.m.

Family and friends are invited to a benefit spaghetti dinner in celebration of his life to be held Saturday, Feb. 4, at the Orwell Town Hall. For more information, call Kathleen Parent at 802-897-2859.

Memorial gifts, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Addison County Home Health & Hospice, PO. Box 754, Middlebury, VT 05753; or to Orwell Boy Scout Troop 109, c/o Wesley Orr, 439 Rte 22A, Orwell, VT 05760.

ORWELL - George Harold Watrous, 53, died Jan. 26, 2012, at Rutland Regional Medical Center.

He was born April 7, 1958, in Schenectady, N.Y., the son of Charles and Rose (Holbrow) Watrous.

He was a graduate of Ichabod Crane High School and earned an agriculture engineering degree at SUNY Morrisville College.

Mr. Watrous enjoyed farming and he owned his own business, Say-Wat Ag Service.

Having achieved Eagle Scout Honor, he was instrumental in the formation of Boy Scout Troop #109 in Orwell and also served as Scout Master.

Survivors include his wife, Cindy of Orwell, whom he married May 19, 1979, in Piermont, N.H.; a son, Jacob Watrous of Pittsford; two daughters, Lindsey Watrous of Shrewsbury and Megan Watrous of Orwell; his siblings, Ellen Bernritter of Rutland, Caroline Mioducki of Florida and Bob Watrous of New Jersey.

He was predeceased by his parents and two brothers, Harry and David Watrous.
