Virginia Moneymaker 87, of Brumley died Saturday, May 21, 2005, at St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City. She was born Sept. 20, 1917, in Tuscumbia to Louie Berendzen and Bertha Vaughan Flaugher. On Oct. 5, 1933, she was married in Miller County to John Henry Moneymaker, who died July 13, 1972.

Mrs. Moneymaker attended Goodwill Baptist Church in Crocker.

Surviving her are a daughter, Barbara Harrison of Iberia; two brothers, Earl Flaugher of Eldon and John Flaugher of Belleville, Ill., 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 37 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cleta Rowden; two sons, Bobby and Wayne Moneymaker; a step-son, Louis Moneymaker; and a step-daughter, Ina Wall.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with Bro. Elton Dake and Bro. J.R. McGuire officiating. Burial was in Mt. Union Cemetery near Brumley. Memorial contributions may be made to the cemetery.
